Beach Ball with Claws
First appearance: Dark Star (1974)
Follow the mission of the crew of the planetary demolition space ship Dark Star.
John Carpenter's first feature film written by Dan O'Bannon (who also stars).
If it wasn't for this movie we wouldn't have Alien, Red Dwarf, or that cool stretchy star field thing we see in Star Wars when they activate their Hyper Drives.

The Pink Bandage Man
First appearance: Timecrimes (2007)
When Hector decides to waste time looking into the woods behind his new home instead of helping his wife with some errands he happens to notice a topless lady. Upon entering the woods to see more of the lady he is set upon by and terrifying man who is armed with a pair of scissors and a face covered in strange pink bandages. Hector escapes the pink bandaged man by hiding in a seemingly abandoned building at the top of a hill. But is he safe there?
Timecrimes is probably the best time travel movie I've ever seen not involving Ted Theodore Logan or Bill S. Preston Esquire.
