First appearance: Munchie (1992)
Ever wish you had magical friend who sounded like Dom Delouise? This might just change your mind! Even though it's often packaged with similarly titled MUNCHIES, this movie has nothing in common with it other than weird puppet characters.
Also Munchie never flies around on a pizza in the movie.

Art The Clown
First Appearance: All Hallow's Eve (2013)
Weird horror anthology flick dealing with creepy tales found on a videocassette while trick or treating. A creep clown named Art appears in all the stories. Is he human? some kind of demon? a ghost? is he even a real clown? Either way he's popular enough to get his own feature film "Terrifier!"

Joseph
First appearance: The Crescent (2017)
A woman and her child move into her mother's house to deal with the grief of losing her husband and to marble paper. Unfortunately for her there's some weird stuff going on around the beach.
A horror flick in the vein of EYES OF FIRE and MESSIAH OF EVIL.

Dorthea Paymon
First appearance: Last Shift (AKA Paymon: King of Hell, 2015)
A rookie cop's first shift is watching over the last night of the closing of a police station her father used to be assigned to. Turns out some unpleasant things happened at this station. Things that were linked to the case that took her father's life. She's supposed to be alone, waiting for the bio-hazard clean-up crew to pickup some bloody evidence. Turns out she might not be alone...
Pretty decent little ghost story. Some really cool imagery.

Broken Head Red Ghost
First appearance: Crimson Peak (2015)
Guillermo Del Toro's gothic romance about a lady who wants to be a writer, a man who needs investor's for his giant clay digging machine, his creepy sister and a house that's slowing sinking into the clay pits under it. Also there's ghosts.
Definitely a movie best seen on the big screen. The costuming and art direction are fantastic, just don't go into it expecting a scare fest, the ads kind of make it will be. That being said there is some particularly grisly things on screen.

A Collector (I think)
First appearance: Southbound (2015)
Five interlocking tales of horror following the fates of a variety of weary travellers on one of the creepiest stretches of desert highway. In the vein of the original Outer Limits, EC comics, The Twilight Zone etc. from some of the people behind V/H/S, but don't worry this one is fantastic ALL the way through.

Mr. Babadook
First appearance: The Babadook (2014)
Amelia's having a hard time raising her son, born the same day her husband died. Her son's kinda weird and likes making weapons to defend her from monsters. One night her son asks if he can choose the storybook for bedtime reading and hands his mom a mysterious red pop-up book called MR. BABADOOK. She has no idea where the book came from and it's creepy. Really creepy.
suddenly mysterious things start happening around the house and her son blames The Babadook.
Things get worse from there.
Where did the book come from? Is there a way to stop The Babadook?
The movie's got a reputation of being the scariest movie ever, but it may not be the movie you're expecting. It's really good, but I don't think I'd call it scary.

Maurice
First appearance: Little Monsters (1989)
The true story of what goes on under your bed and why children are always blamed for things they didn't do. It's also the story of the kid from Wonder Years on a mission with the a slightly less terrifying monster version of that crazy nurse from St. Elsewhere to save the kid from Boy Meets World who has been kidnapped by monsters.
This movie comes from the wonderful time where kid's movies were full of terrifying nightmare images and horrific violence and really dark ideas that put today R-rated horror films to shame.

Chatterer
First appearance: Hellraiser (1987)
Since I've already discussed Hellraiser and the Cenobites don't do much until the sequel, I'm going to talk about Hellbound: Hellraiser II or as my gang refers to it Hellraiser 2: Hellraiser too.
In the sequel to the bafflingly popular Hellraiser, Kristy Cotton is in the care of Dr. Channard at his weird-ass mental institution. This is what happens when you try to blame the destruction of you home and murder of family on a missing uncle and an old dirty mattress. Turns out Channard believes her because he knows about the Lament Configuration and is trying to summon something from the mattress. Long story short someone solves the puzzle box, everyone goes to the Cenobite realm. The audience is treated to a series of erotic, goofy, bizarre imagery (usually all at the same time.) Pinhead lets Kristy go, contrary to the suggestion of the other Cenobites and Kristy saves the day or something. And you are left to figure out why people love these movies.
There's an extended flashback that takes up what feels like half the movie using footage from the first Hellraiser, which is good if you've never seen Hellraiser. Characters also tend to repeat dialog, either their own or something someone has just said to them.
Chatterer is my favorite Cenobite in the first flick, for some weird reason they changed his face in the second movie. They gave him eyes which makes him look a little goofy.
